Enkeboll Designs
Raymond Enkeboll founded Enkeboll Designs in 1956 in Los Angeles. It began as a funiture shop in a chicken shed in Venice, California.
The product was such a standout in the field that Raymond quickly expanded into a 65.000 square foot warehouse in downtown Los Angeles where his Spanish Mediterranean designs earned him a national reputation for the quality and style of his products.
At the time, the new downtown location employed 36 people. Over the years, in keeping with the proud family tradition at Enkeboll Designs, several of the children and grandchildren of those early employees have worked for the company.
In building his own new 75,000 sq ft Castle Headquarters in Carson California, Raymond realized the need for quality, architectural embellishments. Therefore, he moved his focus to the design and manufacture of architectural wood elements made of the finest quality red oak, hard maple and cherry. His intent was to design and manufacture magnificent but affordable wood carved designs inspired by antique pieces and folk art from across Europe and Asia.
Over the years, the Enkeboll Company flourished and Raymond became a legend in the design world for the quality, beauty and the originality of his wood carved products.
When Raymond passed away in 1996, a 2nd generation of Enkebolls continued the tradition of producing the world premiere collection of architectural woodcarvings.
Today, the company's product line has expanded to include over 550 items produced by over 220 talented and dedicated employees who create wood carving magic everyday.
